I’m receiving UC
LCWRA
And been awarded pip full rate both
Am I able to claim carers allowance to pay a carer

Carers Allowance is claimed by the person acting as carer.
There are conditions to qualify such as providing 35 hours of care a week, not earning over a certain amount etc.
If the carer gets UC themselves, Carers Allowance will be deducted in full from their UC award.
If the carer isn't getting LCWRA element themselves, they can claim Carers Element (£201.68 a month) paid under UC.
You are free to use your PIP to pay for a carer.
