Hi, my name is tdk61! What happens during the phone appointment for UC migration?

Just made an account online for UC (managed migration from ESA). I was surprised how easy it is, having been putting it off for over 2 months…..
I now have a telephone appt. in a weeks time, I am hoping that all of the information from my esa and pip awards just get transferred over automatically.
Has anyone got any info on what happens during the phone appointment?

PIP isn't relevant to UC, unless you will be asking UC to pay for an extra bedroom, or for someone else to receive Carers Element for looking after you. Unfortunately ESA uses an ancient computer system which doesn't talk well to UC. There can be delays with ESA confirming your award with UC and UC processing that information. This is usually done in time for your first payment, but not always and more people are experiencing a delay with this as all migration notices have now been issued, leading to an increased volume of claims to process. 1

Oh! I thought it all got lumped in together on UC, maybe that is a good thing, if there are delays at least I will still get pip. I must admit I have left it until the last mintute as I was dreading doing it all again….after years of claims, reveiws ect. I hate opening that can of worms, the feeling of dread. I just came unstuck on the id part as I don't have a passport - just a driving license out of the 4 on the list. 0
