Hello, recently I have been awarded for LCWAWA less capacity to work and work related activities from UC. Now can I apply for PIP allowance. I went to the Citizen adviser in Redbridge council and they advised me to call to DWP and ask for new claim for PIP. Is it possible to get both benefits please?

Hi @wahid75 welcome to the Community. It might be tomorrow morning before you get an answer as it is quite late now.

I am sorry but I do not have the answer for you.

    Take care.

Yes, you can apply for PIP.

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is entirely independent of Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity (LCWRA); they are separate benefits assessed for different purposes and have distinct eligibility criteria and assessment processes. PIP focuses on support for the extra costs of managing daily living and mobility due to a disability or long-term illness, while LCWRA is a component of Universal Credit that recognises a person's inability to work due to their health condition.

Hey there @wahid75 and welcome to the community.

As Passerby has said, you can claim both LCWRA and PIP, many people do. 😊
