Hi migration over to universal credit
hi I’m a bit confused in what’s going on? I had until 2 December to do my migration I 16 September. I received income related employment and support allowance. Now that I’ve done universal credit claim they’re not going to pay me this does that mean I’ll get the new style Esa

If you were on just Income Related ESA then you will receive Universal Credit.
If you were on Income Related & and Contributions Based ESA, then you will receive UC & New Style ESA.
Lots of people are mistaken about their ESA award, and only find out for sure after migration 😊

Are you saying you've received a letter about New Style ESA?

Your Income Related ESA has ended now that you've made a claim for UC.
As advised if you were just on IR ESA, you will be paid Universal Credit.
If you were on both IR & CB ESA, you'll receive UC + New Style ESA.

If your on contrabution esa you will be put on new style that pays £281 every 2 weeks the rest is made up by universal credit payed every calander month,so if UC pay you onthe 1st of month it will be the 1st every month. Its really confusing to start off but does get easier to understand if you put the time in
With UC you can also request a split payment which is closer to 2 week payments and might help if eccepted
