Freedom of information request for Mps that drive EVs

I wonder if someone has done a FOI request to see how many of these politicians are actually driving electric cars, it will be very hypocritical if they keep advocating people driving electric vehicles when they themselves are driving petrol and diesell cars?

You can’t use a Freedom of Information request to find out whether individual MPs drive electric cars. That’s private data protected by law, and releasing vehicle details could pose a serious security risk. FOI is designed for public accountability, not personal details.

As of April 2025, the Government Car Service, includes 38 battery electric vehicles, 33% of its fleet. The government has committed to making 100% of its central car and van fleet zero emission by 2027.

It's not really hypocritical if they are still driving older petrol and diesel cars. It would be worse for them to scrap those and buy new electric ones just for the sake of appearance.
