Pip stopped for reporting a new condition
I won my pip back at a tribunal back in 2022 but ive recently been diagnosed with spondylosis of my spine so I done what you are suppose and report it to the pip and now they have stopped my payments since August I have done a mandatory reconsideration and wrote them a letter and included my recent hospital stay and operation discharge letter ,also my patient summary from my gp but I dont understand how they can stop it just for reporting a new diagnosis to them isn't that what you are suppose to do. Thanks all kerrie

Hi,
Unfortunately you've had some bad advice in the past. There is no need to report a worsening condition. It is only worth reporting if your practical abilities have now reduced to the point where you are fairly sure you would score more points in order to get a higher PIP award. If you already had an Enhanced award then there is no point in reporting a worsening condition at all.
Sadly, it is too late to go back and undo that. All you can do now is go through the process of Mandatory Reconsideration, and then tribunal if the MR fails. Reporting a change of circumstances is effectively treated as starting a new claim again.

Hi @kerrie1905 really sorry to hear this. I've attached a link that might be helpful. It's a bit more information on the mandatory reconsideration process and some links to organisations that can support if needed - Appealing a benefits decision | Disability charity Scope UK
