UC advance
Hi there again sorry for all these questions.
My daughter is in the progress of UC migration from ESA support group hb pip . Hopefully she will get a 2 week run on with ESA and Hb . But with my calculations after this as been paid she will still be 3 weeks without housing benefit that will put her in arrears with her rent.
I think she may be able to apply for a advance payment and don't know the best time to apply for this .should she apply for it after her 2 week run on of ESA and Hb
What is the deadline for applying for advance .
She applied for UC on 22 Oct it dosent say she has lacwa .yet it's just confirming her housing element . Thankyou

I'd encourage her to speak to her landlord- some are fine with the rent account being in arrears, others set up a payment plan paying off the arrears gradually a little at a time until each payment will put her account one month into credit, others do want the account kept bang up to date.
Confirming the LCWRA element does take time, this is usually but not always done in time for the first payment statement. It being delayed is more common now all migration letters have been sent and higher numbers are moving across.

Thanks Kimi
It is confusing though .It also seems that if you apply for a advance to pay the 3 weeks rent you have to pay this back so technically you are paying for your own rent can't get my head around this .
Also my daughter's rent is going to be paid to the landlord she's with council housing

As I advised, speak to the landlord. They will be well used to people migrating onto UC.
UC is paid one month in arrears which obviously is at odds with rent due weekly.
So she will be paid for those three weeks rent, but in arrears.
