Would I be entitled to Universal Credit?
Good evening,
I am looking for some advice regarding applying for universal credit.
I am currently off work on long temporary sick due to having ME/CFS
I have been fortunate enough to receive full pay for 6 months but I am now due to go onto half pay.
Do any of you know whether I would be entitled to Universal Credit? I am on quite a low wage so am going to struggle financially once I go onto half pay.
Many thanks in advance for any advice given.
Andrea 🙂

You can try a benefits calculator to estimate any entitlement to UC once you are on half pay.
Your pay would be deducted in full from your UC award.
Initially you won't be entitled for anything illness related, you'll have to go through the Work Capability Assessment process and if you are found to have LCWRA (Limited Capability for Work Related Activity) then that would increase your UC award by £423.27 before deductions.
