UC Housing Element

            Hi,
Just a quick question. My landlord asked me if it was possible to leave for 1 month (3 weeks ago) whilst works on my house got done, I had family that let me stay over temporarily so I changed my address on my UC account and therefore, didn't get paid the housing element on this months UC payment. The landlord hasn't charged me rent for the month of repairs which is why I removed the element. I am now in a position to move back in , would I simply change my address back with a copy of my tenancy or would I need extra information regarding the repairs?
Thank you.

Hi, I can't see why UC would need any more information in this case. Must say you're lucky to have an understanding landlord though. I've recently had to go through something similar, couldn't stay with family myself, so my landlord charged me rent on two properties while the work was being done! 0

Appreciate your swift response, the house isn't 100% still but having heating that works now before winter is a bonus! Fingers crossed I will find the dream place next year. 😁 Thank you. 1
