Since 2020, the fuel poverty gap has almost doubled and it is over £400 In England.

For disabled households, the impact is even greater. Many people need to keep their homes at a steady temperature, rely on essential medical or mobility equipment or do extra washing which increases energy use.

But only 36% of fuel poor disabled households receive disability benefits.

This level of support simply isn’t enough so that’s why we’re calling on the Government to..

  • Expand the Warm Home Discount to include people on disability benefits
  • Increase the payment to £400
