If you're in crisis @Jane315STARX you need to call 999 immediately.

@Jane315STARX I think 111 is a risky service to use. You need to either call 999 or get yourself to an Urgent Treatment Centre or Accident & Emergency in a taxi if need be.

It's not so long since we could get an emergency GP appointment. I've found my local UTC excellent, amazing staff working their guts out whilst the GPs work from home.

    District nurses?

They do an excellent service here.

I got help from samaritans and my GP.I have had an email this evening now from the therapist I saw this week to say they don't think im ready for therapy because I was so so distressed. So what do I do now with all my emotions? Who do I speak to? I'm devastated

what a silly remark from the therapist how can they expect your distress to improve without the therapy.

I m glad someone tried to help you today.

@Jane315STARX I'm so sorry you're really struggling Jane. Depending where you are some NHS/Trusts have a mental health crisis line which are open 24 hours (they send the summary of call to your GP). If you need me to find the number for my region and give you the number, they might be able to give you one that is local to you if they cannot help you directly.

You can ring Samaritans as often as you need to.

MIND (charity) also can offer counselling support via telephone or in person if you feel counselling will help.

Thank you.I have written an email back to the therapist who continues to say That I can self refer to a light touch therapy place when I feel ready. But I've already been told that I dont fit the criteria for those and I need specialist therapy which Is why I was sent there. My thinking now is she actually agreed with my thinking,in that in truth ( I know this sounds dramatic and NONE OF YOU are going to agree because I certainly wouldn't as a scope user). But that she agreed with my thought process and rational that indeed mine and my sons life is so odd and in my case quite negative. That the opportunity of anything positive coming out of therapy long term aside from feeling ok was very limited. To me this was All I wanted But I expect she wants to overall someones life and get a young person back into work or something.
