Pip assessment report
hi, I have received my report states 10 points in total 2 points each for five activities
my question he has downgraded me due to I can drive so I can get my hands above my shoulders it even states I have only drive 2 times in a year due to the pain etc I can’t get my hands above my shoulder I had open heart surgery and now have nerve block which it all states in the report will the dm look at this? Or just go with there recommendation? I’ve just sent more evidence in stating my right arm is now a lot weaker than my left which the assessor didn’t have at the time? Shall I send a letter in explainging what I don’t agree with the report or wait for the decision?

Hi @jam199035 ,
It is uncommon for a decision maker not to follow the assessor’s recommendations, they usually do go with them, but it does happen in a small number of cases.
The decision maker should consider all the evidence available, including what you send in extra if it's available to them before they look at your case, so if you have further evidence to support your case (for example about how your condition affects you) it’s worth submitting it now.
If you don’t want to send it now, you’ll still have the opportunity to challenge any decision through a Mandatory Reconsideration.

but this isn’t the dm it’s only the person who does the assessment so the dm could actually upgrade ne0
