Can PIP be backdated to my LCWRA award date?

Hi, due to various health issues and conditions I was awarded LCWRA in April 2025. If I am awarded PIP, I know they will backdate to the date I applied, but can I try to backdate to the LCWRA award date? I did not know I would be eligible for PIP, I've got no prior experience with the system or eligibility rules. Google says that because the DWP didn't make me aware of the fact I could be eligible for PIP, that I have a good case to ask to backdate it further, but Google says by an extra 3 months, not the full 7 months from LCWRA award to when I applied for PIP. All advice and guidance welcome and thank you everyone!

Unfortunately AI is not to be relied on as a source of accurate information.

It is the responsibility of individual to make applications and seek out what they might be entitled to.

PIP & LCWRA are totally different benefits and not currently linked in anyway.

DWP will only backdate PIP to the date of your PIP application.
