Pip renewal
Hi after reaching 2cyear mark waiting for my pip renewal to be reviewed i have been advised to do a change of circumstances request as my personal care needs have increased over this waiting period. I rang the pip helpline and was put through to a caseworker who said once completed and sent back it could still be sent for an external assessment. Does this mean I could be waiting another 2 years? Beginning to regret reporting change of circumstances...I have new OT report, medication list , stairlift installed and wet and dry toilet all of which I have proof of. Any advice or experiences appreciated.

Hi
I know waiting times are long for a lot of claimants but two years seems excessive.
Have you asked for an explanation why yours was taking so long?
Its impossible to say how long your change of circumstances may take.
The extra evidence you have submitted will be taken into consideration alongside what you have on written on the form regarding how your disability affects you and whether or not they agree to award you on that basis.

Hi thanks for replying. They said some areas were taking longer because of amount of new claims.

Hi @slm really sorry to hear that too. It's definitely still worthwhile you doing the change of circumstances, as you may be entitled to more support. Fingers crossed it won't take that long.
