So I managed to secure a zero hours contract at a venue scanning tickets. never dealt with anything like this before.
after waiting three weeks for the october shifts to open up, I jumped onto the app to apply for a handful of shifts to start planning my time.
Only to find within a few hours, the manager rejected me for most of these slots and hasn't gotten back to me on a couple more.
Is this normal? I know being declined for shifts is not personal towards me in any way (i imagine a lot of people have applied for the shifts), but it's intensifying my rejection sensitive dysphoria and it's putting me off trying to find work.
As it is, I dont think this role will be viable for me to regulate my nervous system if i'm just gonna get declined for the shifts i need to regulate my nervous system. so i'll be back to the drawing board, once again de facto trapped in long term unemployment.
