DWP letter said "no cognitive impairment" but EHCP shows 0.1st percentile

Hi everyone, looking for some reassurance and honest advice on my chances.I was awarded 2 points on my initial PIP claim. In the decision letter, the DWP claimed that I have "no cognitive or sensory impairment".

However, my active statutory EHCP (which was already on their system before the decision) and Educational Psychologist report state:

• British Ability Scales 3 spatial ability: Standard score 51 (<0.1st percentile – severe difficulties)
• Verbal ability: Standard score 67 (1st percentile)
• Non-verbal reasoning: Standard score 71 (3rd percentile)
• Number skills: Standard score 72 (3rd percentile)
• Diagnosed ADHD, SEMH, sensory processing difficulties, and receptive language needs
• A College Learner Support Profile signed in June 2026 showing I require instructions broken down, simplified language, and mentor support

I’ve logged a Mandatory Reconsideration. How strong is my case to get this overturned at MR or at an independent tribunal?

i have also called the dwp up recently and asked them for a reason that they underpointed me and they admitted to having my full ehcp

She admitted that DWP decision-makers routinely default to whatever the outsourced medical assessor writes, ignoring conflicting diagnostic evidence already sitting in the file.

She repeatedly claimed that because I "can manage activities to a functional level," My diagnosed difficulties don't qualify for points. She tried to redefine a learning disability as only applying to someone who literally cannot learn at all, ignoring my actual cognitive deficits

here is a small part of the evidence i have even provided them a legal binding EHCP.
