Is It Too Early To Eat Mince Pies?🎄
I just ate my very first mince pie of the season but my brother said it was too early for one!
His rule is that Halloween must be fully over before mince pies are allowed and that seeing festive treats on the shelves next to the Halloween decorations just feels wrong.
Where do you stand on this?😊
Are you an "as soon as they hit the shelves" person or do you strictly hold off until November (or even December)? Or do you not eat mince pies at all?

You can eat them whenever you like. But it's definitely too early to tell other people that you're eating them!😅

Haha I wanted to see the general consensus was @OverlyAnxious 🤣When do you think it's an appropriate time to eat a mince pie?

Never! I don't like them
I'm not a fan of them but I'm happy for others to eat them of course. But @Mary_Scope, I would say it's too early! Surely it should be from mid-November at the earliest?

Now!
I went to my friends last week and she had bought some mince pies. So I did have one.
I have not bought any yet but I am quite happy to have them in October.

November for me too! But I'm not going out of my way to eat 'em even then! I don't hate them, but I feel like there's quite a few other things I'd rather eat at Christmas time.

It's way too early but I'd buy these. They have to be made with butter like Eccles Cakes and shortbread.

I'm not keen on doing anything Christmassy right now or even seeing Christmas things in the shops yet as it feels too early, but that's just me. As for anyone else though just do what makes you happy, there's a guy who celebrates Christmas everyday of the year, nothing wrong with that.

I'm exactly the same @WhatThe I can't eat the cheap ones they have no filling and taste like they have been made with lard 🤢

Myself and my mum love them with plenty of squirty cream on them 😋

Hahahaha this was a really fun discussion to read, some strong opinions🤣!!
Now that sounds delicious @BrianMcFaddenfan24, I've never thought about having them with cream!Ooh you've got the posh ones @vikingqueen, I always think the all butter ones must be so tasty.
Does anybody like the puff pastry ones? They are my favourite!1 -
1st of December.
I don't want to see or hear anything to do with the C word before that date. 😅

Way too soon for me, if they're eaten at all, it should be late November at the earliest.

Probably late Nov early December for me………it's like when you go in certain shops and they have Xmas stuff in late September for God's sake!!!! If you start with Christmas stuff too early it just takes forever to get there, and it takes all the magic away for me, at least in December that's actually the month when it is!! 😏

I feel like Halloween should be celebrated more! I agree @Starman, Christmas gets earlier every year and by the time December rolls around I'm a bit tired of seeing it everywhere. Is there a halloween-specific food out there?

It was funny how the host was basically accusing him of being nuts, but it's all in jest I guess. 😂
