I may have my first ever job lined up thanks to my fiancé
Hi everyone,
When my fiancé came home from work on Saturday morning, he said that one of thea8n bosses for the cleaning company he works for had put a post on their work WhatsApp group asking if anyone knows someone who isn't working and wants a job to let the cleaning manager know as they're desperate for staff.
As usual, he (my fiancé) was playfully tormenting me about working there and I said that I would like to ask I don't seen to be getting anywhere with the jobs I have qualifications and experience in and that it would hopefully get the job center to stop bugging me.
My fiancé came home from work today and said that he'd spoken to his cleaning manager, who I have known since school (I can't remember if we were in primary or secondary school together, he is or was friends with either one or two of my male cousins) and his cleaning manager said that it's good that I've said that I would like to work there as there is another male cleaner who is (according to both my fiancé and his cleaning manager) absolutely useless at his job has handed in his at least 2 weeks notice as he's going to be working for the supermarket itself. His cleaning manager said that once the other guy has left he'll ask me to go in to sort out everything I need to do before I start.
My fiancé has already said that himself, his cleaning manager and a female cleaner will help me when I need it.
I'll even get paid training too as I've never been a cleaner or worked before.
Plus my best friend is a domestic assistant at a care facility (I'm not sure if she works in a care home or hospital) and she used to work in another big supermarket, but she had been there for about 10 years I think she said it was and she had gotten fed up with customers and the higher-ups whining at her.
My best friend is like me in a way as she can be the most patient person in the world, but her patience only stretched so far, before it snapped.
I think she also said that the job was taking its toll on her mental health as well.
Her current job is better for her anyway as it fits around her life as she's a mum to a beautiful lil girl.
I've added a photo of me and my fiancé. We've been together and engaged for just over 12 and a half years.
