Its 1thing after another
just got email through from energy company saying they changing monthly bill from 146 to 360£
how anyone meant to pay that?
While some like getting into credit for the winter, I personally dislike paying by fixed DD as many companies just treat it as an opportunity to take as much money as possible, with the amount not reflecting usage.
Not every company offers this option, but I pay via Variable Direct Debit. This means I pay only for what I use each month. I'm billed monthly then the DD comes out later. I manage fine with budgeting different amounts each month depending on the season.
That sounds like a lot @nickdough, sorry you're facing that. Kimi87's advice sounds like a good option to try if you're able to.
