Hello.i need help
Hi Bobby, could you be more specific?
Welcome @Bobby44, hope you're well today. What kind of help do you need? I'm sure we can support you if you let us know a few more details ☺️
I have had 2 operation on my leg. The 1st wasnt successful so had to do a 2nd Op. I have lost my job as it was quite physically demanding at times and they needed someone in the role permantly and come the 18th of this month it will have been a year i have been out of work.
I guess what i want to know is, can anybody recommend any employers either in the housing sector or familar who are either disability friendly, or offer work from home roles? Or just any jobs within corporate setting with the same benefits. I still cant walk properly, but for my sanity as well as financial reasons, I need to get back into work and start earning money again
Sorry to hear you lost your job @Bobby44, that must have been distressing after going through such a hard time with your operations.
We've got a list of disability friendly job boards here that you might like to look at: Finding disability-friendly employers | Disability charity Scope UK
I hope something comes up that's suitable for you ☺️
In the meantime, are you claiming any benefits to help keep you going while you search?
Thank you for your response @Rosie_Scope.
I am on PIP which started claiming about 11 months before i had my operation. I am on the middle tier, but I am not on anything else in terms of benefits, just savings I have.
No problem @Bobby44
If things get tough, it might be worth checking a benefits calculator to see what you might be entitled to: Turn2us Benefits Calculator. Not everyone will be eligible for benefits, especially if you've got savings. But you are it might help things feel easier while you wait for work ☺️ fingers crossed you can find something soon!
