Updating UC about employment

When do I tell UC that I've left my job? Technically I'm not working any more but I'm using my annual leave so my official last day isn't until this Friday.

There's then a break of about a week before I start the new job.

Can I wait and tell them about leaving the old until I start the new? Do I tell them now because I've already handed in my notice? Will they ask why I left or anything?

I get worried about talking to DWP too for UC and PIP so it’s very understandable. Really encouraging to read @Anhedonia2 how excited you are to start your new role and hopefully this positive new role for you can help you feel in a position of strength when talking with UC :)
