Universal Credit won't refer me for Work Capability Assessment due to earnings

Hello,

I've been submitting fit notes to Universal Credit for almost eight months now, but they still won't refer me for a Work Capability Assessment because apparently I earn too much.

I'm a bit confused by this, to be honest. What I earn doesn't change the fact I'm disabled or that my health affects my ability to work, so I don't quite understand why it's relevant or why the two appear to be linked.

How do I actually get them to refer me for a Work Capability Assessment when I've been providing fit notes all this time and seem to be getting nowhere?

It's part of the UC Regulations (legal framework) that you cannot be referred for a WCA if you earn over the threshold, unless getting something like PIP.

As to the why, you'd have to ask the architects of said regulations.
