Can a mid-day meal supervisor take a child for interventions?

Hi Hannah,

Can a Midday Meal Supervisor take a child for Interventions ? They have no SEN training  ( Gross Motor Exercises to improve upper body strength )

Hi MissCC, Helpful questions to ask are: What is the quality of the sessions? How is your child's progress being assessed and monitored during sessions? How can the school reassure you that the person running the sessions has a clear understanding of gross motor difficulties and how best to teach children to improve them? I suggest asking for a meeting with the school SENDCo if you have concerns. This link may be helpful:
