Daughter declared fit for work

I look after our daughter who is a recovering alcoholic, who suffers with her mental health, She was doing ok until the ESA assessment, which within half an hour said she was fit for work , it set into motion a spiral of mega breakdown, it has and is shattering !

Hi @Ruddi welcome to the community, Im sorry your family is having a tough time. There's some information about ESA and Work Capability assessments here, if you disagree with the decision, it says you can request a ‘mandatory reconsideration’ - this link explains how to appeal an ESA decision.
Are you and your daughter getting any support for her alcohol addiction? There is lots of support out there, there is a list here from Drinkaware.

Sarah is desperately trying to balance her life , although it is not helped , by the government intervention, still insisting that she should prepare for work , despit the medical profession insisting that she is ill !

yes we have done that , she is now on ESA work based benefit, although the stress of getting any payments through was trying!
everything seems to be so hard to put right after the intervention of the DWP, the whole episode has put our daughter back !
i don't think anyone realises the impact unless of course they too suffer with disabilities,
