How long before I get a decision on my pips and why did I get a home accessment

Hi ,It has been a few weeks since I was on the forum last.It turns out that I had an home assessmentfor pips.what would the reason be for this and when do you think I might get a decision .

Hi harry
Usually PIP decisions take 2-4 weeks following an assessment. However you should ask for a copy of the assessment report which should be available 2-5 days after the assessment
Home visits can be given as a recognition of your condition but not necessarily.
Capita tend to give home visits at random, Atos less so. Sometimes it is just that a space occurs and you are next on the list
