PIP appeal

When appealing a PIP decision, do both parts have to be reconsidered or just the one that is incorrect - as far as I'm concerned at least.
I have been awarded the Daily Living Component PIP for the first but the mobility part has not been awarded on this occasion despite having received the lower rate for the last 3.5 years and my mobility has not improved in the meantime.
So - I want to know can I appeal against the decision with regards to the mobility aspect without affecting the daily living needs decision?
