Welcome to the community.
A good place for your brother to start, is to see what financial help he could get and he can do that by filling in the benefits calculator.
He could ask to be referred to an Occupational Therapist - Occupational therapy aims to improve your ability to do everyday tasks if you're having difficulties. They look at activities you find difficult and see if there's another way you can do it.
Is your brother in work? He could speak to our employment advisors who may be able to give him information on reasonable adjustments in the workplace.
Has he been given some physical rehabilitation through the hospital? And does he have everything he needs at home?
There is a lot of great information here about amputation that may help and there is the limbless association who provide lots of support and information that may help.
He can, of course, join us here on the community as you have and he can chat to our members, speak to our experts and get lots of care and support.
Thanks for getting in touch and I hope this helps
