Hi my name is Mick, hope you are all well, i wonder if some one can help with a little info, on Monday the 8th of Jan i have my second term assessment for my pip with independent assessment services, it is a home visit due to the nature of my disability, my query is if i ask the assessor for proof of medical qualifications are they obligated to provide proof that they are adequately qualified to assess my situation. hope you can help

You can ask but they are not obliged to tell you. It is up to you whether you ask but it may antagonise an HCP. Their qualification will be on the assessment report which you should request 2-3 days after
PIP is a functionality test which in theory could be done by a semi trained monkey.
HCP's are only required to complete a course on disability assessment, the legislation does not even require them to be medically qualified.
