My son Adrien is 6 years old and was diagnosed with ASD, and then with a very rare genetic condition called Pitt Hopkins Syndrome. I’m a single mum and we live in Scotland. It was so good to find this website!

@smaller78
thanks,yes, Adrien’s both diagnosis makes him a very complex case.. He’s non verbal, doesn’t walk, still in nappies, need to be fed etc but he’s a brilliant boy with a massive heart. We were lucky today to meet his personal assistant I’m about to employ ( as my respite option ), and she’s fantastic. Her son has disability, too, and she has worked for 10 yrs at my son’s schools, so I’m so happy.. I can’t possibly express how much.. We were only given 130 hrs for the whole year, but I’m so glad I’ve met someone who understands us. I know things will change for the better, soon.
How is your son’s autism affecting him? How old is he?
thanks a lot for replying to me X -
