Hello dollydog and welcome
The change over is behind schedule. When your turn comes around you will recieve a letter, it could be next week or in two years time.
It would be a good idea to reasearch the points system, descriptors and criteria for a PIP award as there are substancial differences from DLA. PIP is more about functionality rather than condition
A good place to start is the B&W self test

Welcome to the community @dollydog!
Citizens Advice has some information about what to do when you get a letter asking you to change over to PIP, including when and how to apply. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/before-claiming/if-you-get-dla/
We also have some great information and videos on the website about PIP and how to prepare for an assessment. https://www.scope.org.uk/support/disabled-people/benefits/pip0
