hi everyone. I am 47 I have fibromyalgia rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes type 2 insulin dependant, and a list as long as your arm. I have suffered with depression and mental health problems since I was 14. I'm very overweight and have bright purple hair (doesn't show up in my picture)
I'm very easy going and live and let live. I don't have many friends.  I love  animals and nature I now do meditation which has helped me with a lot of things.

Hello not-so-crazy @krazykay71 and a very warm welcome to the community. 'Don't have many friends' becomes 'Didn't have many', here. We have a lot of members with fibro, arthritis, diabetes - indeed, you name it, some of our members have got it - and I have no doubt you will find good friends among them.
Most of the fibro posts I've seen have ended up in the 'Dealing with chronic pain' thread, so you might like to take a look in there and see if there is anything of interest to you. And in the meanwhile others will, I'm sure, get back to you.
    Very warmest best wishes
    Richard

Hi @steve51 please could you advise me if there are other people around basildon that go swimming? I'm not a strong swimmer I also have to go to a walk in pool as I cannot pull myself out of a normal pool. I am very conscious about my weight but I know I would benefit from swimming.  if I could meet other people in a similar situation? maybe a small group we could all benefit. I can't  go alone as I can't go out on my own because of panic attacks and anxiety

Hi @krazykay71, great to meet you! Have you tried contacting Basildon Sporting Village? They may be able to assist or know of other organisations who may be able to help.
