I Don't Know Whether To Celebrate Or What?

edited June 2018 in PIP, DLA, and AA

Had a shock yesterday.

Had a letter from DWP Re: PIP Yearly Update..

I realise it's blatantly obvious, I presuming that I have got P.I.P., and it is higher amount than when was DLA.

But was expecting ( and I haven't had a letter yet) a more informative letter explaining the award.

Also and I am ashamed to admit this but the Mobility Component. I was expecting more?

Spastic right leg and gout in left big toe, renders me virtually Immobile when I get this

Is the Mobility element a low rate?

The daily living amount is higher than the.Mobility, and really emphasised about my leg and walking problems.

But the letter in my opinion belittles my disability/leg/gout problems.

Or should I keep shut?

I emphasise again I am extremely grateful for the ward (presuming I have read right( a bit of paranoia))

Also Under the old D.L.A., award I had my car tax paid as  part of my entitlement to D.L.A.,

I also get Bus Pass and Bl

Does this new amount entitle me to any future tax exemption?

If any of you could.please enlighten?

Did you apply for pip and go to the assessment? If not this is probably still DLA isn't it?
The pip award is detailed in what you have/ haven't got.
It's standard or enhanced. There is no low rate.

    Hi Jim..
I took a photo of the letter...

    The new weekly total £79.95
    The new Daily Living £57.30
    New Mobility amount £22.65

Will this amount still entitle to Bus Travel and Blue Badge?

    Thank you

    Hi @oldngrumpy

Citizens advice says that you're automatically eligible for a blue badge if you scored 8 points or more in the ‘moving around’ area of your PIP assessment.

I'm not sure about your bus travel - it would depend on what the eligibility criteria is for your local council.

    I hope this helps!
