Hi i am new here. I have been turned down for pip after being on minimum dla since 2004. why do dwp not listen to professionals ie forensic phsychiatrists report. yet as i work in the justice system the courts accept these reports and legal aid pays for them. It means the judge often gives a lesser sentence or a caution even on the strength of a gps letter

    Have you put in for a mandatory reconsideration yet? This is your next step before going to appeal.

    Hi @3358thanks and a warm welcome to the community! Thank you for taking the time to post. Have you appealed this decision? Going through this process is not uncommon when applying for PIP and we have plenty of community members who would be able to support you with this :)
