I'm going a bit mad looking at websites. Last time I went to a shop they seemed to be pushing me towards a particular product and I want to make an informed choice. My current chair is too heavy and not built for me. I need to know what cost I am looking at before applying for funding. Any comments or advice welcome. Please :-)

Hi @littleredhen
DLF info/advice might be useful:
Manual wheelchairs: https://www.dlf.org.uk/factsheets/manual-wheelchairs
Power wheelchair: https://www.dlf.org.uk/factsheets/powered-wheelchairs
Best Wishes

Hello
My son has Spina Bifida. He does not walk independently. How do I get him a wheelchair? There are so many models out there I have no idea where to start looking.0 -
If you are anywhere near Cornwall or Hampshire try EPC, they seem good, I am going to see them next month. How old is your son though?0

He is eight months old. Unfortunately we live near London.0

Will the NHS not cover this? If not there are charities that specifically help children. I'm not an expert I'm afraid. Good luck.1

I have a appointment with the NHS wheelchair service tomorrow morning to discuss wheelchairs. My recommendation is to make a list of questions to ask them.
