PIP APPEAL WON

I had my PIP hearing this afternoon and from 11 points for daily living and 4 points for mobility I've gone up to 19 points and 10 points respectively so enhanced and standard, which I didn't expect! The panel was very nice and compassionate and I was so relieved that I cried. Right now I'm over the moon with backdated payments from January 2018. Please people don't give up. It's worth to go to the tribunal...just be yourselves and tell them how you feel.

@Cat39 congratulations

Well done

That is great news to hear. It must be a huge relief for you.

Awesome x

The stats show that appeal are successful in about 71% of cases - approx. 19% fail.
What would be interesting to learn is why do 19% fail. Is it because there is no basis of an award or maybe something else.
Also I believe that the figure of successes is only relevant if you are professionally represented - those that go alone having had no advice or are receiving no representation only about 51% win.

Well done -
The research on the 19% has long since been done.
