Hello, I have completed the pip application and had my f2f. I had received a text to confirm that the report from the f2f had been received by them. I have now received a text to say that they have received my request to look at the decision again? I haven't had the first initial decision yet.
What's going on? This is my first claim.

I would be greatful for some advice. I'm a cover teacher with a new disability caused by an accident. I have had my contract ended due to being incapable of my contracted duties. I'm in a mess with getting my head around everything. Now I'm totally confused about this message from DWP regarding my PIP! Please advise me if you can. Thanks.

It seems to me that they have sent me this by error. As I haven't had a decision at all it is impossible for me to request that they take another look at the decision. It's working tho. ?

I’d ring them up like @Ami2301 suggested when I’ve had issues with PIP or anything ringing them up always seems to get me somewhere rather than an email.

Hi, I'm confused! I'm waiting for my new claim first decision so how could I ask for it to be looked at again?
How do we receive our decisions?
Do you think that this is a mistake there end? I know I will get to the bottom of this when I call on Monday, until then I'm concerned.

Hi Steve, how could you find any information? However if you can help put my mind to rest that would be amazing and so helpful. Thank you.

Steve, this doesn't tell me why they have sent me a message to confirm that I've asked them to look at the decision again. I haven't had any decisions since applying and attending the f2f. I'm still waiting for the initial first decision?

    donnananton,

You're right, I think DWP have made a mistake. You haven't had your decision yet, so how can you have asked for it to be looked at again. Have you managed to ring them yet? I I think it's important that you do, and that you find out when you can expect the decision. Tell them that you haven't made any request to look at the decision again as you have not yet seen it, and you hope that it will be sent out soon. Once you've got the decision, then you can decide whether it's correct and whether you do want them to look at it again (it's important not to be put off if you do, as it is a necessary step in challenging a decision).

It sounds as if you may need other benefits advice too (you may be able to claim contributory ESA and possibly other, income-based benefits). You could try contacting a local disability advice centre or CAB - Scope can help you find face to face or telephone advice near your home.

You might want to complain about DWP's error here, but I don't know if it is worth it -more important is probably getting the decision and then deciding where to go from there.

    Will

Hi all. I called them, it was a generated text sent in error. I have my award and yes I will need to challenge it. I can't walk and they gave me care at a standard rate. What a joke?. I've worked all of my life. Teaching children and supporting autism. I'm so depressed about all of this. It's not easy. ?

    Hi,

Unfortunately, working all your life doesn't help your PIP claim.

You now have 1 month from the date of the decision to request the MR. You should put this in writing stating what you disagree with and where you think you should have scored those points and your reasons why. Putting 2-3 examples of what happened the last time you did that task.

They will look at the whole decision again and not just part of it, so be aware of that. I'd recommend contacting your local welfare rights or law centre for further advice.
