Hi,Have you recently applied for ESA? if so then it can take 3-4 weeks for your first payment.
-
@steve51 Thanks I checked it out trying to get my head around the whole system.
-
@poppy123456 Yeah just claimed very recently, am just very worried and stressed at the moment.
-
DWP will write to you in a few with a decision on your claim, if successful then you'll receive £73.10 per week paid every 2 weeks. You'll need to continue to send in the sick notes until you're assessed and given a work capability assessment.

Poppy123456 I handed in 4 months of sick note given by my doctor which states not fit for work, will I be asked to provide anymore sick notes? Am stressing now
-
It depends how long it takes to send you the work capability assessment form and an appointment for a face to face assessment. You'll need to continue to send in the sick notes until a decision has been made on that. In some area backlogs are huge so it can sometimes take several months or more.
