ESA payment late

Hi all. Our ESA (support group eusa) wasn't paidpyesterday. Phoned them this morning and was told it's been sent as a paper payment. Wasn't told why but it's been escalated and I'm waiting for a callback. But why would they send a paper payment all of a sudden? My wife had a medical assessment a few weeks ago and we haven't had the result back yet but could it be to do with that?

Could be after assessment your getting paper payment until decide if keeping it keep ringing them
