Hi, i was just wondering on the email and recorded message on carers helpline stating claims are taking upto 6 weeks. Would like to know how long claims have taken to process so far in 2019?

Hello, I think you have your answer from your own research, I would allow 6 to 8 weeks maybe longer to you get the official notification as checks are made with local  benefits providers for example housing and council tax benefits these can and could be stoped then reinstated when you send in prove of entitlement to Carer’s benefits.

Thank you for your reply! we currently receives tax credits and my husband is self employed working one day a week due to my care needs. I have recently been awarded PIP.
