To receive contribution based esa. How many class 1 or 2 contributions must you have made and do ni credits count. Also what are the conditions for claiming new style esa

Unless you were claiming Carers Allowance then NI credit don't count i'm afraid. You need to have worked and paid enough NI contributions from March 2016 to April 2018 to be able to claim New style ESA.
