Carers Allowance - PIP Rate Lowered

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me with a query, I've just had my PIP lowered to standard for both, my Son currently gets carers but he's gotten a letter today to say it's going to stop on the 14th of October, does he need to let them know that I'll still be getting PIP or will the restart the payments anyway? I'm really confused and don't understand this sort of thing.

Hello dose it state in the letter why the carers allowance is stopping? "of not maybe you can phone carers allowance for help and advice regarding the letter.

Ahhh! Thanks! I just realised it's based on my OLD award rather than my new one, my old one was due to end on the 19th of November and the date they were stopping my Son's money was the 12th of November, however, I've just checked the date of the actual letter and it was sent the day after my new award starts from.
Does my Son need to contact them still or will it continue? -
Hi,It's paid at either rate and should just continue but you never know with DWP so to be sure your son will need to ring Carers allowance because if it does stop then any other benefits he's claiming could also be affected.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

My Son managed to call them, he's having a good day, and it was a good job he did as well, they had to update it on their side.

It's great he managed to call and get this sorted @WF2k.Community Manager
