That is such great news @lisa1986 I really hope you go for this and that you find it has a positive impact on you, being connected socially/with other people is certainly great for positive mental health.
    Best wishes.

EmmaB when I was talking to the lady and I showed her the suggestions on here and I told her about my sad and depression and how my disability factors into my mental health she was so understanding and encouraging I am finally excited about something

@lisa1986 that's just so great to hear, there are some brilliant, encouraging people out there who 'get' how important it is to be encouraging and nice to fellow human beings, it makes all the difference.  Maybe this is a turning point for you!  Emma

    Hi @lisa1986 I
am a bit of a hike away in Devon! I wonder whether there is already such a group in your area, there's a lot of stuff out there steering people down the social prescribing route rather than the medication route for better mental well-being. Down here we have Wellbeing Exeter, perhaps you have an equivalent in your area?

Hi @lisa1986 - I've just seen your great positive news! Not only might volunteering in Scope help you, but it would be lovely how much you will be able to help the charity. So pleased you're feeling obviously so much better. I'm going to be watching this space now for your updates! :)
Have a look at the following, which was mentioned on here a while ago......people go & sit at a table, & anyone else that wants to join in & chat just joins them. You can see if there are some cafes near you. https://thechattycafescheme.co.uk/
