HI and welcome,I'm one of the community champions here on scope. Do you have someone to go with you to the Tribunal? this can help with any anxiety you maybe experiencing on the day. You will need to answer all the questions yourself, what they as you will depend on your case and how your conditions affect you. Sometimes they can't make a decision on the day, if this happens they will write to you within a couple of days, it doesn't mean anything other than a decision couldn't be made on that day. This link may help you further. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/appeals/your-hearing/Good luck.

Hi Lorraine, I am on pip, at first I filled the forms out and sent them back they said I couldn’t have it, so I then did a mandatory reconsideration and still didn’t get it, so I appealed and I did get it that took about 2 weeks I get the pip daily living and a got a few points for mobility but not enough to get the mobility payment, fingers cross you will get the benefit.1

Unfortunately I do not have anybody available to go to the tribunal and I am really worried this will go against me.0

I didn’t have to go to the place as they decided for me so I didn’t have to go, they phoned me and said I have got daily living pip and then I got a letter to confirm I have got it.1

I wish they would contact me.0

Maybe phone them and say I prefer to do it on the phone and you decide that might do that for you1

Yes that’s true depending on how quickly they will phone you, with me I appealed then about 2 weeks later I heard from them and I got it and what I had backdated I got, then you get it every month1

PIP is paid 4 weekly, not monthly.
