Hi,Is this regarding your DLA to PIP transfer? If so have you been refused or had a decision that you're not happy with recently?1

Hi poppy yes dla to pip 10 points for mobility happy with that what I expected but got 7 for daily living 1 short of what I expected a few points in the descion letter contradicts what I have said and wrote it's frustrating to miss it by one point so what's the best option of trying to gain that extra point through mandatory reconsideration thanks for any advice0

Hi @sandwich - DLA & PIP have different criteria, so an indefinite DLA award doesn't mean you will be awarded something similar for PIP. Once you get your decision letter you have one month from the date of this letter to ask for a Mandadory Reconsideration (MR).It's important to note that your whole award is looked at by another Decision Maker, & you could lose the award you have, it could stay the same, or you might gain points increasing your award.Your MR should be done in writing, indicating for any relevant descriptors where you feel you should have gained points, & giving a couple of real life examples to illustrate this.Altho your assessment report contained inconsistencies, mentioning these does not gain you points, tho it's likely relevant that you say you do have input for your mental health. If you haven't sent in documentation of the fact you're seeing a counselor, now is the time to send this in with your MR.It would be helpful if you looked through the following lengthy link, to see if you feel you would gain points for the daily living component before you consider a MR. See: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteriaIf you have any further questions, please do say.
