A good news story as I don’t see many regarding PIP. Today arrears were paid into my bank account which indicate that I’ve been awarded PIP at High Care, Low Mobility. I haven’t received a letter yet, nor the assessors report I’d asked for.

Started claim 18th Feb. i have treatment resistant paranoid schizophrenia. I sent in my care plan as evidence. Paper based assessment. Assessor spoke to my Care Coordinator by phone. It took 9 weeks for a decision in total. I don’t know yet the length of the award.

Thanks to this site and its contributors for the wealth of information.

Slight update. I received my decision letter today. 19 points Daily Living and 10 points Mobility, so Enhanced Living and Standard Mobility as assumed.

Everything the decision letter said was correct according to my evidence and paperwork sent. There was no embellishments by the Assessor.

The award is for 3 years.

The whole claim process took between 9 and 10 weeks. Paper based.
