Hi Brumyboy68 I think once you receive a txt saying they have the report, you can phone for copy of report it’s usually just a few days after assessment. Good luck.

Hi @paulb123. Great news that the tribunal found in your favour! Unless the DWP appeal (it can happen but doesn't happen very often) it does sound like you have been successful. It can take up to 8 weeks for a tribunal decision to be put into payment so don't worry if things don't happen immediately.

[email protected] That’s good I’m sure you can phone anytime now ask for report.
  • Brumboy68Brumboy68 Member Posts: 77 Courageous
Finally got through after 45 minutes wait to ask for a copy of report. The woman was really rude and tried every way she could  to try and not send the report out to me. I virtually had to demand it.  I'm a nice guy who never gets angry or mad but she got my going. She said it was most unusual for claimants to ask for reports. I know you can. She needs reporting . She said with the post she didn't know how long it would take to get to me, I bet she don't post it? Cow.
  • Lou67Lou67 Member Posts: 815 Pioneering
Oh I know how frustrating it is and how awkward they can be, when I phoned to ask for mine she sd they don’t send them I sd Iv been advised yous do send them, she sd I had been advised wrong needless to say I never got my report. These people are a disgrace and treat people like crap. Not all of them as I have had one or 2 nice people on the phone, sorry for the rant lol
  • Brumboy68Brumboy68 Member Posts: 77 Courageous
Did you get report in the end.
  • Lou67Lou67 Member Posts: 815 Pioneering
No she didn’t send it, I got word back cpl weeks later only got 6 points for DL and 10 for standard mobility gutted as I had DL until February wen it ran out, Iv put in a mandatory reconsideration but don’t hold out much hope, probably be the long rd to appeal.
  • Brumboy68Brumboy68 Member Posts: 77 Courageous
So you lost out thats really bad. I think it's luck of the draw. Depends on the assessor you get i think I'm on ESA right now and have been for many years when I go for my assessment I think it's every two years I can get a nice asseir who understands my condition or one who has no idea about uncontrolled epilepsy. The last assesment I had for esa the lady had a cousin who had a similar condition to mine. So we chatted about it and that was it. The whole thing lasted 15 minutes. I just got lucky.
  • Lou67Lou67 Member Posts: 815 Pioneering
Oh I think your definitely right, im just hoping things can change and I will get my benefit back, but as I sd it could be a long fight lol
  • Lou67Lou67 Member Posts: 815 Pioneering
I’m at least grateful I got something even though it was standard mobility, I’m hoping I can get that changed as amongst other ailments I’m waiting on 2 knee replacements so any kind of movement is a nightmare.
  • paulb123paulb123 Member Posts: 14 Listener
@Lou67 that's what I got 10 for mobility and 6 for daily living but I appealed and the judge has made a provisional decision to give me the extre 2 points for daily living but ove been waiting a year and a half it's a nightmare
  • Lou67Lou67 Member Posts: 815 Pioneering

@Lou67 If surgery is planned which might improve your condition it may be why they awarded standard as they think your condition will improve.
  • Lou67Lou67 Member Posts: 815 Pioneering
[email protected] Cressida, My surgery isn’t planned yet, I need to loose a bit of weight before I can get it, Iv put over 3 stone on in the past cpl of year, it’s really getting me down I used to never be off my feet now I’m hardly able to do much at all. Thanks take care.

Postman' arrived . Went to porch. Thought he hadn't been. Went to go shopping and their was a big brown envelope from Belfast. The hairs on my neck stood up. My kness trembled hands shook. Time to sit down, and I opened it, glasses on and reading began two points here two points here there even a kid could realise that the daily living could only reach six. To be expected so not surorised. Next mobility saw this gorgeously shaped tick in the fisrt question about planning a journey in the box F. A great big smile and relief overcame my body finally the enhanced mobility rate. So happy ijust hope the dwp man agrees. Must also admit that the assessor was spot on with her report . I criticized her  in an earlier post and I was completely wrong to do that and I also moaned about the length it might take about getting the medical report once again I was wrong. I shouldn't doubt people I guess. But I am so happy about the award about the award of 12 points they never change their mind do they.

Brumboy68 how long did you wait for your decision after the assessment?
I'm on universal credit, am 15 weeks post assessment and still no word. Someone in my area waited 2 days !!
  • Brumboy68Brumboy68 Member Posts: 77 Courageous
I have only received a copy of the medical assessment report . I had my assessment by phone on may 13. I understand from people on here it is unusual for dwo assessors to change the thoughts of the medical assesors, well I hope they don't anyway!!!!!! I asked for medical report to be sent to me by calling up dwp although that can be fun. I don't know the timescale of when I get the award letter , maybe some posters on here are better informed on that than me.

@katho31. I imagine this is so frustrating! Have you asked for a copy of the report? This could give you an indication about what result to expect. Here is some information about how you might be able to access financial help due to the current situation.

I really hope you don't have to wait much longer. Please do let us know how you get on and if there is anything else we can do to help.

    Hi @katho31, how are you?

If the report is with the assessor then that is a good sign. I know it's extremely frustrating, but unfortunately you can only wait.

You will receive a letter when a decision has been made. You also can check your bank for a payment as this sometimes can happen before the letter has been processed and received.

I really hope you hear something soon!

I've been good no more seizures thank god. I have to live with my illness. That's just life. I can collapse at any time . So cold here I'm sure there are polar bears in my back garden.. Bloody typical so hot last week when I'm in ward ten in hospaital, when I'm realesed the temperature drops ten degrees and it's dark at nine.
