Hi @maggieminx - Welcome to the community. PIP awards are for no longer than 10 years. Altho a 'light touch' may be likely, I haven't heard that it will say this in a decision letter. There's some info here: https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/personal-independence-payment-pip/glossary/2012-how-long-will-personal-independence-payment-pip-awards-lastThis is all taking some time to roll-out, & the current Covid-19 situation hasn't helped, but hopefully by 2030 the 'light touch' will be in place for people who should have it.

Hi @maggieminx hope you are well this evening and welcome to scope, light touch is for people over state retirement age, but ten years is a good award.Be extra nice to new members.

Hi @maggieminx
Good Morning it’s great to meet you today.
I’m one of the Community Champion’s here at Scope.
We have got someone who is good with the “Benefit System”
Hi @Adrian_Scope
Can you please offer me some help with this “Benefit Question”
Many Thanks.

Hi @maggieminx and welcome to the community!
PIP currently doesn't have light touch reviews as a review would require the same level of detail and evidence. However, a light touch could be in place in 10 years time, so fingers crossed!Scope -
ok ty very much for your help
