Hi
Hello hoping someone can help.Have been told by my doctor that work is contributing to my stress levels and I should take time off. However I decided to go in few weeks to sort some things out b4 I went on sick. I’ve just been given 2 weeks notice should I still go on sick am a bit worried if I do I’ll get no money. Tia

Hi and welcome to the community, I don't understand are you querying if you will be able to get ESA if you go off sick or work your notice ?

You may not be entitled to ESA I will ask @Adrian_Scope to advise on this as there are certain criteria to be eligible

You can serve your notice while being off sick as long as your sick note takes you to the end of your notice period

    Hi @cathy321.
If you're in your notice period of work, you should still be able to claim sick pay/SSP, if you're entitled to it. Although you might be best speaking to ACAS for advice.

Or are you thinking about claiming ESA?
