Carer's and PIP ending?

I received a message from DWP last week stating they’d received my assessment forms and they’d let me know their decision. I’ve heard nothing since but my husband received a letter this morning stating my pip will be ending on 1August and so his carers allowance for me would be too. How come they haven’t told me anything?

Hi and welcome to the community great to have you on board. I am not certain on an answer but maybe if your PIP was due to end on 1st August then maybe the carers letter has been sent out presuming it is ending ?
Those who have their PIP up for renewal have been given a six month extension if the assessment hasnt taken place due to the pandemic.
It could just be a cross over but then again they could have done a paper assessment though it is quick turnaround for them to have already made a decision
I think the best advice would be to give them a ring as all we can do is guess the reasons
I hope you get it sorted0 -
