Blue Badge and changing my car

I have a blue badge via my local council and I have my car registration number on the application, I am changing my car do I have to inform the council of my new registration number?

    Hi,

    No, you don't need to contact them regarding this. The blue badge is linked to the person, not the car, which is why you can use it in any car that you're in. I've never understood why some local councils ask for reg numbers when applying for a BB.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
